What is the “problem” that your tool seeks to solve?
Events can be a daunting and inefficient experience for both organizers and attendees. When attendees arrive at the door, they usually have to wait in long lines, check in with the organizer, then print badges, and finally go through a security checkpoint. Once inside the event, attendees who want to network don’t know where to start or whom to connect with. After the event concludes, attendees painstakingly enter their new contacts, one by one, into their contact management system. Meanwhile, for the duration of the event, organizers juggle check-ins, manage event logistics, and find ways to track their event’s success.
To solve this problem, we’ve built innovative software solutions for the event industry that redefine how people host events and network at events. On the SocialTagg Integrated Event Platform, organizers are able to quickly check-in attendees, generate personal badges, distribute mobile surveys, and view event analytics, all while providing attendees with a world-class networking experience.
At the center of the current SocialTagg software is the QR (Quick Response) code. After arriving at the event, guests show their QR badge and the host simply scans it to check-in the guest, saving time and eliminating paper waste. Even better, guests are able to use that same QR badge to exchange contact information with others at the event. With one tap, not only are contacts reachable in the SocialTagg app, but they can also be added directly to the smartphone device. With contacts stored in the cloud and the ability to note the context around these new connections, attendees have a innovative and useful tool that helps them remember the people they’ve met. What is the best audience for this tool? Corporate events? Social? Other? Large? Small?
Our core users are organizers who plan events that encourage personal connections. Events of all sizes can benefit from using the platform’s check-in, contact exchange, and lead generation features.
Medium and large conference and trade show organizers are able to streamline check-ins, simplify reporting with mobile event surveys, and view event analytics to measure engagement. For these large events, booth managers and attendees can utilize the networking features and export new contacts to their email at the conclusion of the event.
Small event organizers who plan networking mixers and casual social gatherings can utilize the event hosting and networking features for free. Also, networkers are able to download the iPhone and Android
networking apps as a standalone product with our compliments.
What does your tool help event planners do better?
The Integrated Event Platform allows event planners to reduce logistical nightmares by providing quick and easy check-ins, simplifying the inconvenient task of distributing surveys and compiling results, and reporting relevant analytics. SocialTagg erases the need for paper attendee lists and business cards, saving both time and money for planner and attendee alike.
Event planners can also increase attendee satisfaction. With SocialTagg, event participants reduce frustrations stemming from issues that include lengthy check-in lines, potentially losing important contacts, and time wasted entering new connections. An added benefit for booth operators is the ease of using one’s own smartphone to scan new leads, instead of having to rent or purchase a clunky proprietary device.
How is your tool different from/better than the competition?
SocialTagg is one step beyond an event platform. Because the platform is built with a world-class networking application, attendees are able to record the event context around new connections, while organizers can measure social engagement statistics within their event.
Compared to networking apps that require both parties to have the app, SocialTagg only requires one person to have the app to make a connection. Scanning a QR badge can be achieved by a QR scanner, and the QR information can also be shared via email or text.
What is the single coolest feature of your product?
At present, the most intriguing feature is the integrated nature of the product:
1) Both the organizers and attendees have tools they can use to improve their event experiences, reduce logistical bottlenecks, and facilitate engagement.
