What is the “problem” that your tool seeks to solve?

Making events memorable.

What is the best audience for this tool? Corporate events? Social? Other? Large? Small?
Corporate events & learning – We do everything from small training seminars of 5-10 people, to large meetings of 1000+

What does your tool help event planners do better?

If you’re a planner who is looking to innovate, capture attention, and provide a real “wow” factor at your meetings, we’ll work well together.

How is your tool different from/better than the competition?

For us, it’s not about the technology, it’s about the attendee experience. We take people outside the app and give them something they haven’t seen before. Also, as opposed to a lot of our competitors, we offer an all-in-one solution. This includes iPad rental, network infrastructure on-site, lots of data, and a team to work with you throughout the event process.

What is the single coolest feature of your product?

Our audience interaction features are really awesome. For example, we have what we call a reveal – when attendees arrive at the event, they take a photo of themselves on the app. In real-time, as the attendees are taking their photos, we send the photos to a big screen. The photos come together to create the company/event logo. It’s a great way to highlight the people at the event.

Anything else we need to know?

Magency comes from magic. We were founded by a magician who traveled around the world connecting corporate brands and their customers through the emotional hook of magic. Since magic is in our DNA, we like to think we think differently. We try to take the creativity and wow factor of magic, and incorporate it into our product development. We still do magic on iPads as well. Which is awesome!
This weekly series spotlights a new tech tool that is designed to help make planning events much more seamless. Whether it’s using event software to track every detail from start to finish or mobile apps that deliver content to attendees’ fingertips, these technologies allow planners to divert their stress to more critical issues like deciding which napkin color looks best.
