Give us your best elevator pitch for BK Winery
With a fully functioning winery as the backdrop for private events, Brooklyn Winery is a truly unique space. Clients have the opportunity to host guests in our romantic, sophisticated space filled with reclaimed wood and hand-selected vintage adornments, while sipping wine made on premises. A dedicated event manager carefully assists with all of the details, from helping with menu selection to making sure every element is perfect. Whether it’s a wedding or upscale corporate gathering, we’ve expertly designed our offerings to provide a full-service experience as we help clients craft the perfect event.

What would you say is Brooklyn Winery’s most unique offering?
One of the best things to notice about the space is that if it looks vintage, it is! Our architects and designers carefully crafted every element of the winery to exude vintage elegance alongside the industrial vibe of an urban winery. What always surprises guests the most is that all of our winemaking takes place within our 8,000 square foot space in the heart of Williamsburg, and we process up to 120 TONS of grapes PER YEAR. Of course, this benefits our event clients enormously, as all of our bar offerings are boutique, hand crafted, and special.

What is one thing you wish more event planners knew about your space?
I actually don’t think there’s one thing I wish planners knew about us…I wish they simply KNEW OF US!  Though we’ve been here for four years, and hosted more than 80 weddings in 2014 alone, we have quite a ways to go in terms of awareness. Brooklyn Winery stands apart from other Brooklyn venues, namely in the fact that though we’re a rustic space, we produce very high end, impeccably serviced events.

If you could throw one dream event, what would it be?
A dream event for us would be a truly blown out wedding in the space. Because we are more on the full service side of things, we attract clients who don’t necessarily want to add a huge amount of personality to the space. Our most successful events, though, are those in which clients take decor and personal touches to the next level. We’d love to see a dazzling archway for a couple to marry under, accompanied by a beautiful string quartet. The perfect cocktail hour would take advantage of all of our upgrades, from Raw Bar to a Spanish Tapas Station and hand-carved jamon Iberico. Of course, a rocking band or DJ would be the perfect follow-up to our seated, Family Style dinner experience.

What is your favorite app in life?
My favorite app is Glamsquad…an Uber for beauty service if you will.  For just $50, a stylist comes to my apartment to blow out my hair!  I actually met the Founder of the app at a wedding networking event here at the winery and haven’t stopped using it since.  It’s also great to recommend for brides for their engagement party, rehearsal dinner or the big day!  I would say, then, that this is work related AND fun! 🙂
