Event Tech of the Week: @BonfyreApp
Today, we’re talking about Bonfyre App
Company/Tool Name: Bonfyre App
Website: https://bonfyreapp.com
Twitter: https://twitter.com/
Facebook: https://www.
What is the “problem” that your tool seeks to solve?
Unlike broadcast social networks — those based on accumulating thousands of friends or followers — Bonfyre is private social engagement platform that allows users to have more control of their social media content. It’s built around the concept that content is more relevant and engaging to like-minded groups and organizations.
What is the best audience for this tool? Corporate events? Social? Other? Large? Small?
Bonfyres can scale from small, intimate groups (25-100 attendees) to thousands of people at a time, creating an environment for real-time social connection with the benefits of privacy and exclusivity. We’ve worked with global brands like Budweiser for concerts and Chipotle and Express Scripts for summits and meetings. Any event can become more social by way of the real-time chat, photo and video-sharing that comprises the core functionality of Bonfyre.
What does your tool help event planners do better?
How is your tool different from/better than the competition?
Many event apps designed or built for one event typically have a limited shelf-life — attendees often delete them off their smartphones since it’s no longer useful or relevant. With Bonfyre, event planner can engage their audience before the event and continue the conversation after, and in a few clicks, create additional bonfyre to better segment their audience in an ongoing manner. Additionally, Bonfyre is different that other social networks because of the flexibility for attendees and planners to use it for both personal and professional applications.
What is the single coolest feature of your product?
It’s hard to choose one, but we just added “pop surveys”, which we’re really excited about. Event planners can post multiple choice or free-response surveys within a bonfyre to gain real-time insights on their audience. Our customers are loving it so far!
Anything else we need to know?
We’re adding hash-tag integration for fun and fast ways to feature photo contests in a bonfyre
Along with single events, we’re offering corporations enterprise-level features to help drive employee engagement for internal programs, events and team-based communication. You can read more here! http://goo.gl/RFnsmv
This weekly series spotlights a new tech tool that is designed to help make planning events much more seamless. Whether it’s using event software to track every detail from start to finish or mobile apps that deliver content to attendees’ fingertips, these technologies allow planners to divert their stress to more critical issues like deciding which napkin color looks best.
