Event Tech of the Week: @FinishLinePlann
Today, we’re talking about FinishLinePlanner.com
What is the “problem” that your tool seeks to solve?
1.) Some find the more comprehensive Event and Project Management tools
are like Military Obstacle Courses. They take too long to learn, and
it takes too much time to keep it updated.
2.) Some find they are missing out opportunities and the latest in
technology when they use spreadsheets to try to keep track of event
and project tasks.
Our prospective customer wishes to shorten their status meetings and
wishes to be current with their team’s progress and challenges.
FinishLinePlanner.com respects everyone’s valuable time and need for
accurate and current information on their event or project’s progress.
What is the best audience for this tool? Corporate events? Social? Other? Large? Small?
We best serve Event Planners who repeat common or annual events where
they do not want to reinvent the wheel each time they do a similar
event or project. They have minimal time to learn a new system, and
they wish to spend only a few minutes a week “managing the plan”.
What does your tool help event planners do better?
They do not need to spend valuable hours trying to organize and
managing the project plan.
How is your tool different from/better than the competition?
We are simpler than the “enterprise solutions”, and yet we are
effective for those stepping up from using spreadsheets. We don’t
want to eat away at your valuable time. There are a lot of
competitors that do more than we do, yet the exchange for the time
they require, and their ROI, is a challenge to justify.
What is the single coolest feature of your product?
We have a client who has over 500 tasks every year for their annual
conference. We took a two month planning period to down under 2
seconds, and cut their status meetings from 4 hours to 15 minutes.
That is almost a free four week annual vacation for everyone on their
Anything else we need to know?
We are a cloud based solution that works on all devices that have a
modern browser. You can sign up, watch the training videos (in less
than 24 minutes), and start planning your next event or project all
We are good enough that Disney is evaluating us as their internal
