Event Tech of the Week: @meetingmatch

Today, we’re talking about MeetingMatch

Company/Tool Name:  MeetingMatch

Website: www.MeetingMatch.com

Twitter: @MeetingMatch

Facebook:  MeetingMatch (www.facebook.com/MeetingMatch)

What is the “problem” that your tool seeks to solve?

People go to events to network with others but the process is largely random and difficult for those who don’t have exceptional social skills. When MeetingMatch powers an event, the platform tells you exactly whom you should meet before you walk in the door and – unlike other social networks – helps you connect with them face-to-face. Attendees save time while only connecting with the right people.

What is the best audience for this tool? Corporate events? Social? Other? Large? Small?

Any event (large or small) where attendees benefit from networking and connecting with each other.

What does your tool help event planners do better?

We help planners drive higher levels of engagement between attendees while creating new sponsorship opportunities for themselves. Planners also gain a deeper understanding of their attendees and how they interact through social analytics and reporting.

How is your tool different from/better than the competition?

Unlike many tools out there, MeetingMatch is focused on just one thing: creating the best quality matches and bringing those people together. This results in a simple, easy to use tool that anyone can learn in no time. Our solution acts as a compliment to an event’s social and mobile strategy rather than a replacement for existing technology.

What is the single coolest feature of your product?

Our proprietary algorithms create the most accurate matches possible. In addition to leveraging the latest technology in big data and social networking, our scientific board also contributes decades of experience in business networking psychology. The net result – we help you build high-quality business relationships while saving you time.

Anything else we need to know?

* MeetingMatch is available on both iOS and Android and we update the platform monthly.

*  We recently powered the IMA IMPACT event in Las Vegas with senior marketing executives from Adobe, Oracle, Microsoft, Eloqua,     KBMG, and many more in attendance.

* We are headquartered in sunny San Diego.

This weekly series spotlights a new tech tool that is designed to help make planning events much more seamless. Whether it’s using event software to track every detail from start to finish or mobile apps that deliver content to attendees’ fingertips, these technologies allow planners to divert their stress to more critical issues like deciding which napkin color looks best.
