What is the “problem” that your tool seeks to solve?
The events industry is filled with individuals and businesses that have awesome rental inventory. But no one knows who to go to for what — this person has a collection of fine vintage china or this florist has amazing backdrops. We made Rentivist to enable rental businesses to extend their reach, event industry entrepreneurs to monetize cool stuff they own, and allow event planners to find all their rental needs in one place.
Rentivist makes it easy for Listers to catalog items with an intuitive, intelligent platform and allows Renters to find all their rentals needs with one-stop shop that lets them search by category, color, theme, location, etc. and inquire directly with a Lister about their favorite rentals. We’re reinventing the traditional rental industry by increasing awareness, ease and opportunity for both Listers and Renters.
What is the best audience for this tool? Corporate events? Social? Other? Large? Small?
Small to large scale special events such as weddings, baby showers, birthdays, bar/bat mitzvahs, holiday parties, corporate launch parties and beyond.
What does your tool help event planners do better?
Rentivist allows event planners to discover unique rental items, find all of their rental needs within one platform, and connect directly with the Listers of these items. Our handy Rentilist tool, a rental wish list, allows event planners to organize and share their favorite rental items. The Rentilist tool also lets event planners contact Listers directly to inquire about an item or multiple items at once.
How is your tool different from/better than the competition?
There isn’t a platform out there that does everything that Rentivist can do. We are more than just an inventory management tool. We are a rental-specific platform that connects renters directly with listers.
What is the single coolest feature of your product?
Being able to search for rentals from different companies all in one place, being able to filter through the results, and being able to add different rentals from different companies into Rentilists to keep it all organized and easy!
Anything else we need to know?
Rentivist is the perfect platform for both seasoned and newbie event planners to discover, share, and inquire about unique items from different rental companies both local and national. Rentivist is completely free for renters. And for those event planners that have awesome stuff to rent out, they can subscribe for a Lister plan and monetize these items. Rentivist does not handle payment or shipping of rentals. We respect each individual Listers’ rental policies and we facilitate the process of cataloging items, much easier than building a website from scratch.
