Let’s throw a party, Bollywood Style!
Diwali is the biggest and brightest festival in India. Festivities and rituals typically extend over a 5 day period – this year it will be November 11-15 – and involve cleaning, renovations and decoration.
Diwali is also one of the biggest shopping periods so if you’re planning an event, it’s the perfect time to pick up some new table linens and place settings to really make your table stand out.
Do you want your guests to dress for your theme? If they don’t already own a sari or a kurta, it is simple enough to put together a casual Indian costume. However, there are also stores online where they can be purchased.
Unblock your energies. Circulate air. Dispel darkness and invite in the light. And, don’t forget the fireworks. Have an auspicious Diwali!
