Event Tech of the Week: @uniiverse
Today we’re talking about: Universe
Company Name: Universe
Website: universe.com/selltickets
Twitter: @uniiverse
What is the problem that your tool seeks to solve?
Event organizers want to sell more tickets, boost their SEO and increase their exposure via social media, but until now there hasn’t been a platform designed to handle those three problems on a single platform. That’s why we designed Universe: we wanted to create a one-stop-shop that would help event organizers sell more tickets to their own events through their own website, without redirecting to another ticketing platform.
What is the best audience for this tool? Corporate events? Social? Other? Large? Small?
Anyone can use Universe: we have small workshops like Graven Feather, and huge music festivals like Backwoods. As long as you want to sell tickets, we’ve got the tools.
What does your tool help event planners do better?
Sell more tickets. Without a redirect, attendees stay on an organizer’s website longer (boosting their SEO), and our social media tools get attendees doing the marketing for the event organizers, reaching out to their friends and leveraging the power of social media to increase awareness and sell tickets faster.
How is your tool different from/better than the competition?
We don’t redirect you to another site to sell your tickets: with our ticket widget, your attendees stay on your own website the entire time, allowing you to control the branding and buying experience from start to finish.
What is the single coolest feature of your product?
It’s a tie between our embeddable ticket widget, which allows event organizers to increase their SEO with almost no effort, and our social media tools, which get your attendees reaching out to your ideal audience (their friends) on your behalf.
Anything else we need to know?
Not really! Check out our website atuniverse.com/selltickets or reach out to us at sales@universe.com, and we can get you set up with a demo immediately.
This weekly series spotlights a new tech tool that is designed to help make planning events much more seamless. Whether it’s using event software to track every detail from start to finish or mobile apps that deliver content to attendees’ fingertips, these technologies allow planners to divert their stress to more critical issues like deciding which napkin color looks best.
